In CAS give your Sim the Survivalist trait.
This trait will unlock new rabbit hole interactions when you self click on your Sim.
In Build/Buy purchase the Off Grid Workbench for $70.00
Use this bench to create animal traps. Animal Traps require at least one wood plank. These planks are found when you use the “Gather Materials” interaction.
To survive off the land you can create and check animal traps, or go hunting.
When you go hunting (rabbit hole) you have a chance to find some hunted animal meat or return from the hunt empty handed.

The meat you get is a potato. Sometimes it’ll give your sim an uncomfortable buff from eating a raw potato.
