It’s been updated to include less CC and offer more of your own customization. It’s functional as a fast food restaurant via the Dine Out expansion pack or Retail restaurant through Get To Work. The custom McDonalds food is available in the menu for restaurants. You should be able to set the items on the counter, place them for sale, and open store for the Get To Work retail version.
I used the Kitchen Unit From Dine Out Expansion pack for the cooking area. If you don’t have that pack, substitute with a few ovens and counters.
