2019 was the year mods got incredibly advanced with custom animations, new game interactions, added features, with stand-alone stories and themes. You could even argue that a few of these mods could actually be game packs of their own. In fact you could further argue they even influenced the development of official expansion pack releases. WICKED WHIMS SEX MOD
This is likely the most in depth mod created for The Sims 4. The stand-alone mod at it’s core features animated sex, functional strip club, and the ability the fully customize the mod via settings. At 55 MB it’s the same size of most independently developed video games.

EXTREME VIOLENCE MOD
Unfortunately sims can be extremely rude when you interact with them. They will come over to your house and hop onto your computer without asking, cut into your private conversations, and even steal a place in front of you at bars and cafes. Without the Extreme Violence mod you’d have to respond to this type of behavior with a polite “excuse me”. Or you could install this mod and respond by stabbing them in the gut.
Basically you can release your frustrations or inner sim serial killing needs with this mod.

TOOL MOD
I included this mod because it expands where you’re able to build in The Sims 4. As you know lots are reserved to a limited space. With this mod those limits no longer exist. You put almost anything wherever you want, now you can truly turn each world into your own.

DIRECT CONTROL MOD
The way sims move in the game requires you to click beforehand and select from a menu to actually proceed to that spot. With this mod you’ll now be able to control your sims’s movements and travel via the WASD keys on your keyboard like most video games.

ARMAGEDDON MOD
This mod is basically heroes vs villains. You can be either. Sims in the game might experience unfortunate events like, catching on fire, a helicopter falling on them out of nowhere, or sudden attack of insects. It happens. When things like this happen in your sim’s world heroes with super powers can come to the rescue and save them.
On the flip side, maybe life hasn’t been very kind to your sim. They’ve become tainted and cruel with a need to return that darkness upon all the unfortunate sims. Besides, what good is a world of heroes without villains? With this mod you can play as a truly evil villain.

BASEMENTAL DRUGS MOD
I fully admit a ton of bias for this mod being on the list but it’s also one of the most popular mods out there. This mod ads a variety of drugs to the game so your sims can let loose after a long day of work in a rabbit hole career that’s slowly killing them inside. So they snort meth to forget. If you really think about what sims have to go through after you’ve killed half their family and worked them through some kind of awful challenge the least you can do add a few blunts to the game.

BASEMENTAL GANGS
When you’ve done all you can as a drug dealer the next level up is becoming a gang leader and building your criminal empire. The way this mod works is you start a gang, hire gang members, and send them out on missions. These missions consist of dealing drugs, robberies, corner takeovers, or extort small businesses for protection money. If you thought ahead and leveled up a rival gang, you can even have gang wars.
