Ownable Adoption Agency Mod adds the ability to purchase your own adoption agency, qualify an adoption applicant, collect needed documents, verify documents on the computer, and earn money if the adoption is successful.

Important: Make sure you have just one venue list in your mod’s folder.
Mod Conflicts
It’s always possible for a mod to conflict with this one, but I don’t know of any. This mod is primarily made using mod constructorv4 so it’s custom but if you have any issues just le me know.
You can sell the business using the retail UI but be aware the remaining function of the retail UI should not be used in any way.
How This Works
Start by setting up an adoption agency lot. This can be a simple office. The lot will require the Adoption Agent Lot Trait. Give the lot the Adoption Agency Venue Type.
Adoption Agent Lot Trait
This lot trait will loot the adoption agent trait for you sim whenever they visit the lot they purchased. The trait will go away when they leave the lot. I have noticed during gameplay that the lot trait seems to disappear which will result in no adoption assessment interactions showing on other Sims. If this happens go into build mode and add the lot trait again as needed. This may be a result of how the mod is tuned.

Purchase The Adoption Agency
From your Sims home residential lot and basegame computer select “Purchase Adoption Agency”.
Arrange Adoption Event
Use the phone to plan a social event. Select the Arrange Adoption event. Place your Sim as the adoption agent and select an adoption applicant. Choose the lot which will automatically convert into a generic lot.
During the event you’ll notice that some goals require two interactions. Example, you’ll need to collect a document from the adoption applicant and then research the document or verify the details on the computer. It’s not easy to keep up with so be sure to read the goal very carefully.
There’s potential the applicant will not have the needed document. If that happens they will not be able to complete the adoption process. You might try the interaction again to get the desired result.
You cannot accomplish a successful adoption unless you get gold. Bronze and Silver rewards result in collecting small fee amounts. If you get a gold result you get a big $12,500 fee payment and the Adoption Approved reward trait.
Deliver Adopted Child To New Family
This interaction will only show up if you get gold from the Arrange Adoption event. This interaction is currently only a rabbithole. Your Sim will go and escort the newly adopted child to their new family.
Future Ideas
I’ll continue to add new content to the mod to give a lot more gameplay. That include a simpicker to actually select which child or toddler will go with the newly adoptive parents. Your ideas are also welcomed.
