How To Download And Install Script Mods

What’s a Script Mod?

Script mods are mods that include custom  .ts4script files and change or add entirely new gameplay mechanics.

Enable Script Mods in Game

1. Open The Sims 4.
2. Go to Options > Game Options > Other.
3. Check both:
   • ✅ Enable Custom Content and Mods
   • ✅ Script Mods Allowed
4. Click Apply Changes.
5. Restart your game to ensure settings are applied.

Download a Script Mod

A script mod can be zipped or just loose files.  Download mods from sites like modthesims, curseforge, or misc creators on Patreon.  You can find Simmers on Youtube showcasing the latest mods available.

 Locate the Mods Folder And Put The Mod There

This is the path to find your Mod folder.  Documents > EA > The Sims 4 > Mods.

You’ll place the unzipped mod into the Mod folder.  It can be loose (.package file and .ts4Script) or in a folder.

Place the unzipped folder into the Sims 4 mod folder
