This career is now semi-active.
Library lot needed. Set the venue type to Library or Generic.
Add one or more book deposit boxes.
Gameplay:
Self click your Sim.
Action Menu.
Select – Add Librarian Trait.
Return to the action menu to remove the trait when you want.
Find A Job. Join Librarian Career.
There are 5 career levels:
Book Cart Assistant (promotions)
-Put Away Books – (tip: empty the book depository, drag those books from inventory onto a desk, your Sim will automatically put away the book)
-Empty Book Depository
Library Clerk (promotions)
-Issue Library Card -(this is a social interaction, “Do you have a library card”)
-Check For Late Fees -(social interaction from Public Library menu)
Reading Facilitator (promotions)
-Read To Children
-Recommend A Book (Social Interaction)
Archive Assistant (promotions)
-Preserve historical documents on computer
-Digitize library records on computer
Library Director (promotion)
-Set library policies on computer
-Plan library programs on computer
Select “Work From Home”.
Use your phone to launch an event.
Select – Public Library. This event is non-goaled. Use this to allow you to have the Librarian tooltip about you Sim’s head and add more visitors to the library. This event is optional. You can just go to any library lot, add the deposit boxes and perform promotion tasks.
Using the interaction “Do you have a library card?” will either issue a library card or deny the library card. You’ll get a notification.
Sims with library cards (hidden trait) will have two new interactions on them. The library card interaction will go away for sims with one.
