The Runaway Teen Mod allows your teen Sim to run away from home, survive on the streets, and eventually return home. Parents can report their teen missing, search for them, and ask other Sims if they’ve seen their child.
Note: The teen will remain part of the household throughout the gameplay.
Getting Started
Self-click on your Teen Sim, open the Actions menu, and select Enable Troubled Teen. This will give your teen the Troubled Teen trait and unlock a new social menu.
Troubled Teen Interactions
The Troubled Teen menu includes a variety of mean social interactions your teen can use with parents, guardians, and other teens at school.
These interactions will damage relationships and give your teen more reasons to run away from home.
Computer Interactions
Troubled Teens will have access to computer interactions with resources they can use before running away. These are optional and can be used for storytelling.
Running Away From Home
When your teen is ready to run away, self-click on them, open the Actions menu, and select Decide To Runaway.
This will give your teen the Runaway Teen trait and unlock a new Street Survival social menu with interactions they can use while living on the streets.
You can send your teen to a community lot, set up a generic lot, or use the optional Runaway Teen social event.
The Runaway Teen Event is a non-goaled event that lasts 24 hours. You can also skip the event and have your teen roam around on their own.
Parents and Guardians
While your teen is away, you can switch to the parent or guardian for missing person gameplay.
On the computer, open the Missing Persons menu and select Report Missing Person To Police.
This will give the parent the Missing Teen trait and unlock new social interactions to help search for their child.
Parents can ask other Sims if they’ve seen their missing teen.
Returning Home
When your teen is ready, you can send them back home.
To remove the runaway gameplay, self-click on the teen and select Disable Troubled Teen. This will remove the added traits and return your teen to normal.
The parent can also use the computer’s Missing Persons menu to report that their teen has been found.
