FASHION INDUSTRY MOD | THE SIMS 4

Fashion Industry Mod adds a funcitonal fashion designer skill with the ability to skill your way into a highly profitable fashion brand.

Getting Started
Decide whether or not you want to run a regular law abiding fashion brand or a brand that breaks a few rules with shadow sweatshop running in the background.  You can also do both if you want.

Setup your Fashion Brand Lot and/or Sweatshop.  Keep in mind that the option to purchase these lots isn’t available until you skill up to level 2 of the Fashion Designer Skill.

To setup the lot give it a venue type of Fashion Brand, Sweatshop, or Generic.

Note: If you don’t see Fashion Brand or Sweatshop becuase the venue list isn’t working, you can still use the mod, just set it to generic.

High Fashion Sewing Machine
Purchase this High Fashion sewing machine from Build/Buy mode and set it on a desk or table.

Fashion Designer CAS Trait
Give your Sim the Fashion Designer trait located in CAS.  This Trait will unlock all required interactions.

Grab The All In One Power PC Basegame Computer
Since you’re not skilled yet you’ll need to do some research.  Find the “Fashion Industry” menu and “Research Fashion” menu to start learning everything you need to run a successful fashion company.  Doing research will take an 5 minutes to an hour and loot a small amount of skill but you can start creating sewing patterns while you learn everything else. You can also purchase sewing supplies.

Level Two Fashion Designer Skill
You’re ready to purchase a fashion brand, sweatshop, and hire garment workers.

Remember once you purchase a venue it’ll revert back to generic.  Make sure you have a computer at the venue. Transfer funds but do not use any of the other UI except sell the business.  (Requires Get To Work)

Once you purchase the business you can hire garment workers and start a shift.  Starting a shift will spawn the Garment Workers you’ve hired.  If you didn’t hire any then Temp workers might appear.

When the shift is over you can simply End Shift from the “Manage Fashion Brand” menu.

Note:
If you’re running a sweatshop a shift might not end for a while.  It’s up to you.  The garment workers might leave but simply start the shift over again.

Garment workers will basically want to use the computer and maybe talk.  They will not use the sewing machine.

Level 3 Fashion Designer Skill
You can Join Fashion Trade Shows.  This is a rabbithole found behind the computer menu “Manage Fashion Brand”.  It can help your brand grow.

Level 4 Fashion Designer Skill
Hire Models from the “Manage Fashion Brand” computer menu.  When you hire models you can invite them over and have them put on new outfits.

Level 5 Fashion Designer Skill
Send Models to rabbithole Fashion Shows.  This will help promote your brand even more.

Making And Selling Clothing
You can purchase supplies from the computer.  You’ll need thread, fabric, and a sewing pattern in your inventory to create clothing.

Use the sewing machine to create a stack of clothes (2 folded bundles) or a rack of clothes (8 folded bundles).

When you have the folded clothing in your inventory sell it online to misc retail vendors.  You can only sell one folded bundle at a time but there’s no cooldown to how many you can sell.

Making clothes will have a fee involved to help pay for the garment workers and other related fees involved in running the business.

Special Thanks to DeeSims https://www.youtube.com/@DeeSimsYT for this idea.  And Thank You to everyone for your patience with this mod being released.  Hope you enjoy.
