Paralives releases on Steam on May 25th. This video is detailing just a small bit of what’s coming with the game. You see a lot of different walking styles, from pregnancy to elderly. You also get a bit of detail about the world. Reminds me a bit of Windenburg from this video.
One thing that immediately stands out in Paralives is how alive the characters feel when they simply move through the world. The walking animations have a softer, more natural flow that gives Parafolks actual personality instead of making them feel like robotic NPCs following scripted paths.
Characters casually sway while walking, adjust their posture naturally, and transition between movements in a way that feels surprisingly organic for a life simulation game. Even small details like how a Parafolk slows down near furniture, shifts their weight during conversations, or casually strolls through town makes the world feel cozy and believable. I think this game will definitely be all about cozy gameplay.
