This mod adds toxic relationships, love bombing, emotional dependency, and trauma bonding to The Sims 4. Your Sims can manipulate their romantic partners, create unhealthy attachments, or find the courage to leave a damaging relationship.
Dangerous Trait
In CAS, give your Sim the Dangerous Trait, located in the Emotions category. This trait unlocks Love Bombing interactions that help build romance with another Sim.
Once the romance bar is high enough, the Dangerous Sim can use the Create Trauma Bond interaction on their romantic partner.
Create Trauma Bond
Creating a Trauma Bond will give the targeted Sim two new traits: Trauma Bond and Emotionally Dependent.
The Dangerous Sim will also unlock a new Dangerous social menu with mean interactions that cause emotional distress and trauma to their partner.
Emotionally Dependent
Sims with the Emotionally Dependent Trait will have a new social menu with interactions focused on maintaining the relationship. These Sims will continue seeking affection and approval from their partner despite being mistreated.
Trauma Bond
The Trauma Bond menu includes interactions the affected Sim can use to pacify their Dangerous partner, avoid conflict, and keep the relationship together.
Break Trauma Bond
The Break Trauma Bond menu gives the affected Sim mean interactions to confront their partner and fight back against mistreatment.
When they’re ready to leave, they can use the Break Trauma Bond interaction to end the bond completely. This removes both the Trauma Bond and Emotionally Dependent traits.
Starting the Cycle Again
Breaking the Trauma Bond does not remove the Dangerous Trait. The Dangerous Sim will still have access to Love Bombing interactions and can use them on another romantic partner to start the cycle all over again.
